Croatian Natural History Museum

Museum Interpretation Design

ABOUT

For the Croatian Natural History Museum, we developed the visual design system for the museum’s permanent display. Our work included the design of introductory texts, room titles, and exhibit labels throughout the museum, as well as the creation of illustrations and visualizations for various sections of the display and large-scale dioramas. The goal was to establish a clear and cohesive visual language that supports orientation and helps visitors engage with natural history content.

Text & interpretation

A system of introductory texts, gallery titles, and object labels was developed to structure the museum’s content and guide visitors through the permanent display. The design emphasizes clarity, readability, and a consistent information hierarchy across the space.

Illustrations

A series of illustrations was created to support the interpretation of natural history topics throughout the museum. The illustration style was developed to work within the spatial context of the display while maintaining a clear and educational visual language.
